We are excited to announce our full schedule of Central Asia tours for 2024 and 2025! We cover all seven “Stans” of Central Asia, notably through our famous Five Stans Combo Tours, as well as regular in-depth explorations of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. We’re also constantly adding new adventures, such as exploring the Kazakhstan Polygon or driving the Pamir Highway.
Central Asia has long been one of the world’s most closed regions. The five former Soviet republics—Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan—were inaccessible under the USSR but are gradually opening up as globalization takes hold. Afghanistan and Pakistan, on the other hand, were once popular tourist destinations but have since fallen off the trail due to ongoing conflict and political instability.
YPT, however, has been working in every corner of this magnificent region for over a decade. Whether it’s a group or private tour, let us cut through the red tape and bring you to the heart of Central Asia.
Young Pioneer Tours runs group tours throughout the year and to Central Asia. Our scheduled Central Asian tours can be viewed below. You can also click on specific countries to view our bespoke travel packages to specific or multiple countries within the region.
Whether you would like to spend Turkmenistan Independence Day in Ashgabat, explore everything Afghanistan has to offer – or even tackle all 7 Stans – YPT has an iconic trip planned for you!

Our Central Asia tours embody YPT’s ethos: competitive pricing, expert guides, and adventures that will stay with you for life. An experienced Western YPT guide leads every tour, to foster friendships and good times, we cap our tour groups at a maximum of 22 people. When our Central Asia Group exceeds 22 participants, we split the tour into two groups, each with separate vehicles, local and Western guides. Our average group typically has between ten and twelve people.
Young Pioneer Tours has been running group tours to Central Asia for over ten years and we have been to every part of this vast region. Often, we are the first tour provider to open certain areas or even entire countries to tourism. We utilize our local contacts to take you to places well off the beaten path, and to hidden gems that other tour companies haven’t even heard of.
